The KL Journal Staycation | The Butterfly Project X Traveloka Malaysia

by - January 16, 2018

With the collaboration of The Butterfly Project and Traveloka Malaysia, I have 2 days 1 night stay at  The KL Journal with my butterflies. I really spent a fruitful time with my girlfriends and have a comfortable stay in this hotel.

The KL Journal was started to operate since 2015. The KL Journal themed about the KL background where you can see through their cafe, room and the surroundings. The hotel decoration was very simple, yet elegant.
One thing is worth to be mentioned their parking is using double stacking parking system. This is my first experience this parking system as it was a great idea for a small parking lot (P/S: You can check out my vlog at the end of this post).  After that, I had registered at the hotel concierge while the cafe was just right behind the concierge. There is a bar area and open space area for people enjoy the night with their live band music. There will be a FREE cocktail drinks for the ladies during the night.
The location of the hotel was very strategic as it was located in the city centre within walking distance of the main business district, high-end luxury retail outlets and the city's major malls in Bukit Bintang.  The hotel was well connected to the subway station (4 min walking distance to Bukit Bintang MRT), shopping streets(7 min walking distance to Pavillion), nightlife area and the food streets (7 min walking distance to Jalan Alor food streets) too.

The hotel has 3-types of rooms which are a deluxe twin, deluxe king and superior deluxe. And Lee Yann and I got a deluxe king room. I love the room design and decoration as it has minimalist and classy style. The toilet was well equipped with essential toiletries. We had a great view of KL iconic landmark -KLCC from our room. The room was clean and the housekeeping service was carried out daily.
Every corner become our shooting background ..LOL
The hotel was well equipped with the essentials facilities. The rooftop and infinity pool not only provides you with a glance of KL city view but also an instagrammable place for you to take lots of photos.

There were several workspaces which were suitable for workshop, business meetings or gathering. I have my DIY leather passport workshop at one of the workspaces. DIY leather passport is a hit now. Traveloka team has organized us the workshop and let us experience how to make passport by ourselves.I have a great opportunity to learn how to do my own personal passport cover. To be frank, you need to be patient to do the leather passport as it was an easy task from burnishing till stitching.Although it is a tough work, at the end I managed to finish it. Is kinda of satisfaction tho'

Apart from this, the Traveloka workshop also held at their Workers Union whereby a place can occupy at least 40 people in a room.
For those gym maniacs, there a gym room for you to release your sweat. The gym room looks kinda simple.

The WIFI is quite fast and I have no worry to upload my photos to my social media. Apart from this, I have informed the concierge about the smell of the toilet, and the staff come and clean again within 5 minutes. The efficiency of the service did impress me. Their Kedai Kopi Journal serves a variety of fusion food. The ambience of the cafe is quite cosy and worth to spend a day-long sitting there drinking coffee or tea. A memorable night I have as I have exchanged the Christmas gift with my lovely roomie. At last, we still managed to have a group photo with mamasan.

In front of the cafe, there are are several plants there which make that corner become instagrammable place too.  Enjoy your teatime at that corner is a kind of mind relaxation

How to use it?
Here is the simple video guide

My real thoughts about the Traveloka:
I have been using Traveloka to purchase my flight tickets and hotels for my previous China trip and incoming Bangkok Trip. I have nothing to worry as the price listed is inclusive of taxes, surcharges and payment fee. Although there is the reschedule flight by the airline for my Bangkok trip, the Traveloka customer service did manage to solve my problem throughout the time. I was satisfied with their service and deals as well.
